Durante cinco días, esta maestra dictó un taller de narración con imágenes a diez niñas del barrio Buenos Aires, integrantes de la Red de Escritores de la Alcaldía de Medellín.

Vivió en Colombia cuando era niña; estuvo cinco años por aquí: en Medellín y en una finca en La Dorada. En ese entonces estudió en el Marymount. “Allá no pintamos mucho, pero al llegar a la casa volvía a pintar, porque antes como ahora siento que tengo que decir algo, contar algo y todavía lo estoy buscando”, indica.

Se fue a estudiar arte a su país, Dinamarca. Ahora volvió a Colombia porque su hija quería venir y ella deseaba ver cómo ha cambiado Medellín. Se trata de la ilustradora y pintora Inger-Lise Kristoffersen, quien estuvo en la capital antioqueña devolviendo, según dice, parte de lo que este país le dio, dictando un taller de narración con imágenes a niñas de diez años del colegio María Mazarello, ubicado en Buenos Aires. Ellas hacen parte de la Red de Escritores de la Alcaldía de Medellín y se desplazaron hasta el Museo de Arte Moderno para deleitarse con las historias y el color.

Con el español que aprendió en sus años de juventud, la artista enfatiza en que esa experiencia con las pequeñas es “algo que quería hacer por Colombia con el arte”. Tal vez Inger-Lise se ve en ellas, pues se dedicó a la pintura desde niña; siempre ha dibujado y pintado, y desde que tiene memoria no ha dejado de hacerlo. “Solamente quería pintar”, asegura.

Hace tanto ilustraciones como pinturas, prefiere trabajar con la acuarela porque “es más viva que el óleo, que es más pesado” y también hace dibujos en blanco y negro porque “los dibujos pueden ser livianos, como etéreos”. Le gusta pintar personas, el arte figurativo.

Como ocurre con los creadores, para quienes sus obras son hijos, no tiene un trabajo favorito porque señala que aún no ha concluido nada, no ha logrado nada, que lo está haciendo y por eso todo el conjunto de su obra le gusta. Y es que son tantos los “hijos” que no los ha contado. Su carrera comenzó a los 17 años, muchas obras las ha vendido y no lleva un control de todas ellas.

Pasión por enseñar

Entre el lunes y el viernes anteriores, Inger-Lise compartió su arte y sus conocimientos con niñas de la Red de Escritores de la Alcaldía de Medellín en un taller de narración de imágenes, como lo ha hecho varias veces en Dinamarca. En su país, por pertenecer al Sindicato de Escritores Daneses y representar a los ilustradores, el Gobierno le reconoce una suma de dinero si les dicta clases de arte a los menores.

Esta vez, en la capital paisa, fue la primera oportunidad en que la artista ejerció como maestra en un idioma diferente al suyo y en otra nación.

“Es muy agradable, las niñas están muy interesadas y abiertas; están dispuestas a todo. En este grupo detecté una niña que quiere ser artista, pues las otras me lo dijeron, aunque también lo percibí”, asegura. “Está escribiendo un cuento sobre un trineo y trata de moverlo de una manera más difícil que las otras”, enfatiza para explicar el porqué de la vena artística de la pequeña.

La dinámica iba más allá de enseñarles a las talleristas a hacer un dibujo; la obra tenía que contar una historia. Les leyó el cuento La reina de la nieve de Hans Christian Andersen y a cada niña les entregó unas líneas del mismo para que individualmente plasmaran su percepción gráfica de la escena. Al final se formó el cuento con todos los cuadros en sucesión y sin texto.

Lo que viene

Después de su periplo por Colombia (que además de Medellín incluyó Bogotá), Inger-Lise volverá el 7 de febrero a Dinamarca, dictará otro taller para niños y se dedicará al proyecto de un libro infantil sufragado por el Estado. Será un cuento que ella creará e ilustrará.

“Me gusta escribir sobre fantasía, cómo viajan los niños en la vida; como Andersen, pero a mi manera. Tomo la realidad y la tuerzo para poner a los niños a soñar”, sostiene.

Acerca de una posible exposición de sus obras en Colombia, la pintora no vacila en afirmar que le encanta esa idea, sin embargo, no sabría decir en dónde realizaría su muestra: en un museo, en una galería... no lo tiene claro.

Comenta que no posee obras colombianas en su casa porque “en Dinamarca no conocen el arte de acá”. Ella misma confiesa que sabe poco de los pintores criollos y no se atreve a señalar a su favorito. “Apenas he visto a Botero y a Débora Arango, pero me falta ver la historia detrás de las pinturas. Puedo decir que Botero es muy colombiano; cuando veo sus esculturas, veo a la gente colombiana”, concluye al finalizar también su jornada artística con las diez pequeñas del barrio Buenos Aires de Medellín.

La ilustradora cursó sus estudios básicos entre 1968 y 1972 en la escuela Kunsthåndværker en Holding, Dinamarca. Estudió dibujo en 1977 con Egon Bjerg Nielsen en el Ny-Carlsberg Glyptoteket, Copenhagen, Dinamarca.

Durante su vida profesional ha ilustrado cerca de 30 publicaciones, entre libros infantiles, libros de fotografías y unas 10 portadas, para autores como Jeremy Taylor, Marcel Pagnol, Tom Kristensen, Elsa Gress y William Heinesen.

Gracias a su particular trazo, la danesa cuenta con gran reconocimiento en el mundo de la ilustración y es miembro del grupo de Ilustradores de la Unión de Escritores Danese
